Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed that the club haven’t received any offer for Welsh winger Gareth Bale and they don’t have any intention what-so-ever to sell their prized asset.

AS journalist Guillem Balague reported few days back that Manchester United have offered/are preparing to offer (two different versions in the same article) €153m to sign Bale. He further claims that Louis van Gaal has asked Manchester United board to put an an effort to sign the Welshman and The Red Devils are willing to do so for the Real Madrid midfielder.

The story seemed ridiculous to us for multitude reasons. First of all, Bale is happy at Madrid and performing at a top level. Secondly, Madrid paid a handsome fee for him to secure his best years at the club and finally (most importantly) Bale is an important member in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has now cleared the rumours surrounding the Welshman by dismissing any possibility of a transfer move, and hopefully this will end the constant speculation linking him with Premier League clubs in future.

“We haven’t received any offer for Garth Bale, not from Manchester United or any other club,” Perez said to Marca, via Inside Spanish Football.

“We’ll never listen to any offer for Bale regardless of how important it is.”

There are also bizarre suggestions that Madrid could be looking for a swap deal with Manchester United involving Bale, with goal keeper David de Gea moving the other way. Truth is, both De Gea and Bale are happy at their respective clubs and are likely to stay and perform at a high level for many years to come.
