Chelsea have an excellent chance to sign up one of the brightest talents in the world football, Croatian forward Andrej Kramaric, according to reports in Italy.
The 23-year-old striker has been in excellent form this season, having netted 28 goals in 22 games for both club and country this term.
According to Izzy Horsefield of The Express, Leicester City had lodged a €11m/£7m bid for the Croatian international, but HNK Rijeka, his parent club, rejected the offer, as they are not willing to let him go at such a low price.
It remains to be seen how long can they keep him at the club, as reports suggest, he will be a free agent next summer. So, Rijeka could also be looking to cash in on him as early as possible.
[polldaddy poll=8510479]Reputed Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims, via TMW the forward is rather keen to move to a bigger club, with Chelsea his preferred option.
Pedulla claims that Chelsea have an excellent chance to sign the Croatian striker in the January transfer window. The Blues already have sufficient depth in their attacking department, therefore, could send him on loan to Dutch club Vitesse to get regular game time, after signing him.
This is not the first time Chelsea have done that to a player after sealing the deal. The Blues follows a transfer strategy, where they sign top young players from across the world, and either draft into the squad if only they’re good enough, or send on loan and eventually to other clubs at a high price.
Serie A giants Juventus are also one of the interested clubs vying for his signature. The Sporting director of the Bianconeri has a strong relationship with Rijeka, and the Serie A champions could also put up a strong bid to price him away.
