Marcos Rojo has successfully completed his medical and is now Manchester United player after agreeing terms.
The Argentine international was Sporting Lisbon player before the Red Devils agreed terms with the Portuguese outfit for the sale of the versatile defender. However, the deal was subjected to personal terms and pending medical.
Rojo becomes United’s third summer signing after the Old Trafford club signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw earlier in June. He has now signed a five-year deal with the Red Devils on Wednesday.
The defender has expressed his delight after joining the Premier League giants.
“It is such an honour to say that I now play for Manchester United. The Premier League is the most exciting league in the world and to have the chance to play in it for the world’s biggest club is a dream for me,” Rojo told United’s official website.
“I am young and am very keen to continue to learn the game, so playing for such an experienced technical coach as Louis van Gaal is a fantastic opportunity for me. I have joined United to work hard with my team-mates to win trophies and I know that the manager shares that ambition.”
