According to a front page snippet in Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport, Juventus might have already conceded defeat to keep Arturo Vidal away from the clutches of Manchester United.
The Serie A Champions have already lined up Inter Milan’s Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin and Manchester City’s Stevan Jovetic as a replacement for the Chilean maestro.
It is believed that Inter manager Walter Mazzarri is happy to let Guarin leave as he is desperate to sign Jonathan Biabiany from Parma. Biabiany had earlier spent seven years at the San Siro from 2004 to 2011 and Mazzarri is looking to bring in the Frenchman for a second term at the club.
However the reputed Gianluca Di Marzio website reported earlier this week that Premier League club West Bromwich Albion are strongly interested in Biabiany. The Baggies have already offered a €6m offer to Parma however it’s not a done deal yet. The report claims that should Parma rejects the offer, West Brom are likely to table another offer to the Italian club.
Latest from Juventus: The Serie A Champiosn are currently in Sydney in Australia for their pre season preparations and manager Massimiliano Allegri has just claimed that, “Vidal is a key player for us. Soon he will join his companions in the work in the field.”
Why do Juventus keep reiterating the fact that they want to keep the player? The Bianconerri have done so on numerous occasions in the past couple of weeks and will do so in the coming days. Playing hardball is one thing, but getting distracted surely shows the Old Lady are vulnerable.
Would this mean that they fear losing Vidal to the Red Devils? Let us know your thoughts in comments below.
