Arsenal have been handed a massive boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata after the Galacticos President Florentino Perez has confirmed that the Champions League winners won’t be selling the striker to Juventus in the summer.
“I am friends with the Juventus executives and president Andrea Agnelli. But I have not spoken to them regarding Morata and, honestly, the possibilities that he goes to play in Turin are zero.”
Perez also added, “I will meet the player and we will try to find the best solution for him and for the club.”
Morata has been a long term transfer target for Arsenal who are desperate to sign a striker in the summer who can take the pressure off Olivier Giroud up front. We had earlier reported that Real are adamant to insert a buyback clause in Morata’s deal with any club.
This would exactly suit Arsene Wenger’s dealings over any transfer who can always sell the player back to the Spanish capital if he doesn’t suit the style of play at the London club.
Morata had recently tweeted a photo of himself in Real’s new pink shirt for next season suggesting he isn’t looking to move on. However the credibility of players posting in social networking sites can hardly be an assurance regarding a transfer move.

Morata has one year left in his contract with the Champions League winners is also reportedly a transfer target of Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
