More embarrassment for Rafael Benitez and Inter Milan as they were convincingly beaten by ze Germans Werder Bremen 3-0.
Austrian defender Sebastian Prodl scored the first goal near the half way mark. Prodl headed home from a very highly looped corner. His compatriot Marko Arnautovic doubled their lead early in the second half.
Finally, very late in the game Peruvian forward Claudio Pizarro round the game off with a shot from outside the 18 yard box which hit the post on the way in.
Benitez chose to sit deep on the subs-bench while his players chose to act like spectators.
