Kalidou Koulibaly’s future in Italy is far from certain. He has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea but Napoli are reluctant to sell him.
Having already sold Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus, Napoli are not willing to part ways with the Senegalese defender. On the other hand, Antonio Conte, the new Chelsea manager is a big fan of Koulibaly and the Blues will try to test Napoli’s resolve with lucrative offers.
Last week reports emerged that Chelsea had submitted a £38m bid for the defender. The player’s agent is thought to be actively working on securing a transfer move for him. He claimed recently that Koulibaly won’t join any other Serie A rival club like Napoli, hinting at a likely Chelsea transfer.
Koulibaly, however, seems unfazed with all the transfer talks going on behind his back. He is solely focussed on doing what he does best.. performing on the field. In a pre-season friendly against French club Nice, Koulibaly scored twice on the night. Check the goals below:
