After losing the likes of Luke Shaw and Morgan Schneiderlin Manchester United have been dealt another blow as winger Antonio Valencia could now undergo an operation.
Manchester United took to their official Twitter feed to confirm the news that Valencia will need an operation and will be sidelined for sometime.
The Manchester United winger suffered a thigh injury during the 0-0 draw against fierce rivals Manchester City.

Louis Van Gaal is already missing key players in almost every position though injuries and Valencia is the latest name on the list.
Furthermore, Italian international Matteo Darmian is suspended and will miss the West Brom clash this weekend. Valencia’s injury could not have been worse timed as the versatile winger operates as a makeshift right back as and when the manager needs him to.
It will be interesting to see who Manchester United field on the right hand side of the defence against West Brom. Phil Jones remains an option for the right hand side.
Although there could be some good news for the Old Trafford outfit at the last moment. Schneiderlin has recovering well from his illness and could make the cut eventually.
