Mauro Camoranesi has ended his eight year spell with Juventus and signed for German outfit Stuttgart.
The 33 year old has penned a one year contract at the Mercedes-Benz Arena after mutually agreeing his release from Turin.
He has certainly left the club on good terms with The Old Lady paying homage to him via a club statement.
“Those who love Juventus will always remember Mauro Camoranesi with affection and gratitude.”
He made 288 appearances for the club since his move from Verona in 2002. During that time he won a Serie A title as well as picking up a Champions League runners-up medal back in 2003 after a dramatic penalty shoot-out versus Milan.
Talk had been rife about a possible move to the Premier League with Birmingham City, but it’s Die Roten who has won the race for his signature. He has signed an initial twelve month contract with the possibility of a further year.
The Italian veteran joins Raul and Klass-Jan Huntelaar in Germany’s ever growing top flight division.
