Manchester United and football legend Sir Alex Ferguson says his former side have bought well over the summer.
Quoted by Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the former United manager said:
“When you are in this process you need quality and I think Manchester United hired well and has the right resources.”
Referring to the rebuilding process after a number of aging players left the club over the summer, Ferguson thinks Manchester United have the resources to get back in the title hunt.
Quoted by the newspaper regarding Marcos Rojo, whom signed from Portuguese side Sporting Club over the summer, Ferguson said:
“I saw him in the 2014 World Cup and he did very well. I think it’s a good signing because he can play both left-back and centre-back.“
Marcos Rojo has already found himself playing both left-back and centre-back for Manchester United already this season due to injuries and suspensions in Louis van Gaal’s side.
The move has proven to be a good one in that respect, with the Argentina international’s versatility to comfortably play in both positions.
Manchester United travel to West Bromwich Albion on Monday night as the Premier League returns to action this weekend following the international break.
