Only yesterday, Dutch media outlet Voetbal International reported that Manchester United striker Robin van Persie was withdran from Holland training which raised concerns it could be a precautionary move due to injury.
Along with Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben, the Dutch striker only took part for half an hour before pulling away from rest of the training sessions with fellow team-mates.
Holland have important qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Iceland in the space of four days and there is a concern that Van Persie may be used for full 180 minutes, even if he is half-fit that could put him at further risk of injury.
Voetbal International has an update on the story where they report the Dutch pair have taken part in a full training and that Hiddink may have a fully fit squad to chose from against Kazakhstan on Friday in Amsterdam.
Van Persie is slowly returning to his old form (two goals so far), but he is still a shadow of the striker who was so prolific in front of the goal in his debut season for United.
