Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford has signed today a new three year contract with the Blues, the club has confirmed.
The 21-year-old forward, who spent a successful loan period at Middlesbrough, will continue his development by spending next season on loan at Crystal Palace.
Bamford scored 19 goals for Boro, and was voted Championship Player of the Year last season.
The England Under 21 international said: ‘I’m delighted to sign a new contract with Chelsea. My dream has always been to be part of this club for the long term. Chelsea have been fantastic with my development and joining Crystal Palace for this season on loan is the next step for me in my career.’

This is indeed a win-win situation for all parties involved here. Bamford signs new deal with Chelsea. The player himself will get an exposure in the Premier League and can flourish under the tutelage of a good manager in Alan Pardew. Furthermore, Palace gets a good striker who has the potential to become a top player in future.
