Real Madrid want Man Utd target Paul Pogba to delay his decision

Paul Pogba’s potential move to Manchester United could be under serious threat after Real Madrid met with his agent Mino Raiola to discuss the Juventus talisman’s future.

The 2016 Champions League winners want Pogba to delay his decision over his next move before the club make up their mind over the signing of the 23-year-old.

Real Madrid reportedly ended their pursuit to sign Pogba earlier this month after coming to terms that they can not outbid Man Utd’s financial strength in the transfer market.

The dynamic midfielder, who left Man Utd for free in 2012 after growing frustrated for lack of first team football, is set to cost a world record transfer fee for potential suitors, thought to be in the region of £100 million, should Pogba opt to leave the Italian champions to end his four-year spell in Turin.

However, Juventus are hoping to convince Pogba to extend his stay after reportedly offering the player new £130,000-a-week contract despite sources claiming that the France International is close to sealing his return to Man Utd.

Real Madrid were thought to be favorites to acquire Pogba’s services earlier this summer, but Spanish outlet Marca claimed last week that the midfielder’s performances in the Euro 16 have sparked doubts in Madrid over whether he is truly worth his £100 million price tag.

But the Los Blancos have now reopened talks with the player’s agent Mino Raiola, knowing that they must act quickly if they were to sign Pogba this summer, who favors a move to the Spanish capital in his pursuit to play under his fellow countryman Zidedine Zidane.

Pogba was left out of Juventus’ squad for the club’s pre-season tour to Australia and his agent has set a deadline of the end of July for sorting out the player’s future.
