Tottenham Hotspur will face Premier League outfit Hull City at the White Hart Lane for second time this season in four days in the Capital One Cup fourth round tie on Wednesday night.
Spurs faced Steven Bruce’s side on Sunday where they emerged victorious by 1-o, thanks to a controversial late penalty from former Valencia striker Roberto Soldado. In the League Cup, Andre Villas-Boas will likely to give some of his star players a breather that took part in the match against Sunday. That means, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli could get a chance for this tie.
Danny Rose and Younes Kaboul have still not recovered and will not take part in the match. So, Kyle Naughton is expected to fill the left-back role, while Michael Dawson could be rested for this tie. In the midfield, Paulinho and Dembele could start while Eriksen who came on as a sub in place of Lewis Holtby on Sunday, could get a chance in the starting line-up to impress his boss, once again.
Gylfi Sigurdsson was an unused substitute in the match against Hull City and he might get a chance too on the left flank. However, Villas-Boas also could hand Belgian star Nacer Chadli a chance on the left wing role as well. Here is my possible formation for this game:
Prediction: It was a close game on Sunday, but at home expect Spurs to win again. The depth in quality will see them through. 2-0
