After getting knocked out in the FA Cup in their last match Manchester United will be looking to bounce back against Sunderland in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final tonight at the Stadium of Light.
This has not been an ideal start for Manchester United manager David Moyes. The Red Devils are struggling in the league and frankly the new manager has so far failed to exude any confidence at all. Then again, it was always going to be a difficult job for any new manager who just replaced a legendary and iconic figure at the club and it will be equally harsh to pass judgment on a manager after only six months in charge.
Manchester United have few injury problems for this tie and several key players are expected to miss out. Fabio is suspended for this tie after his red card against Swansea in the last match. Robin van Persie, Marouane Fellaini, Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Young, Phil Jones, Rafael and Nani all are doubtful and are sidelined while Wayne Rooney may also miss out.
Prediction: 1-1; Sunderland have gone 20 games without a win against Manchester United in all competitions, but then again, we have also seen records been broken this season as well.
