Manchester United will travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Saturday in the Premier League where David Moyes would be looking to take their winning streak to four games.
The Red Devils have had a stuttering start to the season and find themselves in eighth place, eight points behind league leaders Arsenal. Hence, David Moyes and his team cannot afford to drop points from here on. However, the good sign is the team is slowly getting used to Moyes’ systems though we should not pass a conclusive judgment immediately.
Defence: Patrice Evra returns to the squad in place of Alex Buttner. Moyes confirmed that both Ferdinand and Vidic are fit enough to start, but expect either of them to be rested. Jonny Evans could start in that role. Rafael started against Norwich in the midweek, so Chris Smalling can be included in the starting line-up.
Midfield: Tom Cleverley played in the Capital One Cup tie in the midweek. So, expect him to take a break from this one. And Anderson is probably busy calling phones to Porto helpline to check whether any loan move is possible for him, which means, Michael Carrick and new signing Marouane Fellaini will start the proceedings.
Forward: Shinji Kagawa was rested in midweek and the Japanese could return in place of Adnan Januzaj who started against Norwich City. Wayne Rooney will start in his customary no 10 role while Nani could be deployed on the right wing position. And Robin van Persie is fit to play.
Prediction: 2-0 for Manchester United
