Brendan Rodgers will get almost a full-strength squad when Liverpool will travel to Tyneside to face Newcastle United in the Saturday lunch-time Kick-off.
Rodgers will continue with his 3-4-1-2 formation and few players would reap the benefit out of it. One of them is Glen Johnson, who is expected to feature on the right hand side. Johnson is a natural attacking right-back and hence he would relish the opportunity here to go on the attack more.
Liverpool will have plenty of options in the midfield as well. Either Rodgers could use skipper Steven Gerrard or Lucas in the middle, allowing either of Henderson or Victor Moses to play in the hole or the gaffer may deploy Henderson and Allen in the middle allowing Gerrard to play upfront behind Sturridge and Suarez.
We all know, Gerrard enjoyed his best season in 2008-09 under Rafael Benitez when he was deployed in the hole behind Fernando Torres. The trio of Sturridge, Suarez and Gerrard could be fascinating, should Rodgers implement this idea.
