Liverpool will travel to Old Trafford to face arch-rivals Manchester United in the Capital One Cup tie on Wednesday night, where Luis Suarez will make a comeback after the 10-match suspension.
Manager Brendan Rodgers has a few selection headaches ahead of the tie, mainly in the defence. In absence of European participation, Rodgers would be looking to take the cup games more seriously and hence he would likely to field the best 11 available to him.
So, in that case, Rodgers will have to make a decision whether to start with Andre Wisdom at right-back. The young full-back started against Swansea but will it be a good decision to throw him against the Champions against some quality forwards and wingers? Probably not a smart idea.
Therefore, I expect Kolo Toure to shift wide at the right back, while Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho are expected to partner at centre-back, while Jose Enrique will take charge on the left.
Apart from that there won’t be too many changes. Iago Aspas would drop down to the bench allowing Suarez to fill the no 10 role. Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva will take care of central midfield roles while Henderson and Victor Moses will play on the flanks, with Daniel Sturridge upfront.
