Chelsea will travel to County Ground to play the third round Capital One Cup tie against Swindon on Tuesday night.
Manager Jose Mourinho will be looking to make a wholesome change in the team for this particular tie. The spot light obviously shifts towards Juan Mata, who has been given a cold-shoulder treatment by the Portuguese.
Mata, arguably the best player of Chelsea last season has been asked to prove his worth, while Mourinho clearly mentioned in the press that Oscar is his preferred no 10 and that the Spaniard needs to adapt to his systems accordingly.
Veteran goal keeper Mark Schwarzer could get a game today in place of Peter Cech. Brazilian defender David Luiz, who was dropped against Fulham, could start again alongside Gary Cahill while right back Cesar Azpilicueta and young left-back Ryan Bertrand could feature too.
In the central midfield, Marco van Ginkel could start alongside Michael Essien while Mata, Willian and Kevin De Bruyne could form the attacking trio in Jose’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation. Fernando Torres could be used as a lone striker while Demba Ba might get a chance to impress the gaffer.
The team could shape up like this
