Chelsea clinched the Premier League title this afternoon after a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace, thanks to Eden Hazard.
The Blues lifted their fifth league title and their first in half a decade. Jose Mourinho’s men never looked like losing the league and spent an astonishing 273 days on top of the table.
Recently voted as the best player in the league, Eden Hazard was the difference once again as the Belgian scored the only goal of the game to bring the title back to London.
While there are suggestions that Chelsea never really faced any competition from the likes of Arsenal or Manchester City, it is beyond doubt that the best team in the league by quite a distance.
With the best defensive record in the league and the second best attack, Chelsea’s credentials cannot be doubted.
Jose Mourinho lifted his 8th league title as a manager and looks set to further his legacy at the Bridge.
Celebrations are underway at the Bridge as the league title returns to London after 5 years.
