Juventus’ general manager Giuseppe Marotta has claimed that the Old Lady have no interest in selling Paul Pogba in the summer transfer window. The French International has been long linked with a move to the Premier league with former club Manchester United interested alongside Chelsea who are also keeping tabs on the player’s situation.
The trusted and reliable Gianluca Di Marzio website have quoted Marotta saying to Sky Sports that the Turin side are not looking for any potential buyers for Pogba.
Marotta said, “Pogba has exploded rapidly, but we are a club that wants to win, so necessarily we can’t sell our champions. It’s obvious some like him, but we aren’t looking for buyers, there are no contacts with anyone. In the last few years our quality has improved and we want to continue to do so”
Earlier we had reported that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola had claimed that he is ’99 per cent’ sure that his client will stay at the reigning Serie A Champions. This was despite repeated rumours circling that European heavyweights including Real Madrid and Paris St’ Germain are also interested in the 21 year old. Raiola had earlier stated that any potential suitor will need to pay €100m for his client’s signature.
The Turin side could however be forced to sell their prized asset in order to raise cash for a striker they want in the summer. The Binaconeri have been linked with Paulo Dybala, Edinson Cavani and Radamel Falcao, all of whom could be signed but for a size-able transfer fee.
