NCAA Picks: 1. TCU Horned Frogs at Oklahoma Sooners – Sooners to win and cover the spread
The TCU Horned Frogs (3-2) travel to the unbeaten, No. 3 ranked side in the country, Oklahoma Sooners (6-0) on Saturday for what should be a tough game.
After losing to SMU and Texas in recent weeks, the Horned Frogs returned to form with a 52-31 win vs Texas Tech last weekend. A player worth keeping an eye on, RB Kendre Miller was superb for TCU , rushing for 185-yards and 3TDs in the game.
The Sooners maintained their great start to the year with an epic 55-48 comeback win vs Texas. But to eke this win out, coach Lincoln Riley opted to bench QB Spencer Rattler – one of the best in the NCAA – in favor of second-string QB Caleb Williams. Winning is all that matters in football; we all know that, but this indecision under centre could cause a few issues for the Sooners going forward.
With that said, Oklahoma are 6-0 this season and massive -545 betting favorites for a reason. Unless Kendre Miller pulls out a similar performance on the ground as he did last week for TCU, we expect to see the Sooners run away with this one, regardless of who is under centre: they’re the more talented and better coached team – simple as that.

NCAA Picks: 2. BYU Cougars at Baylor Bears – Cougars to beat the spread
Baylor beat a sorry-looking West Virginia 45-20 last week, racking up 21 of those points inside the first quarter of play. BYU, on the other hand, suffered their first defeat of the year, losing out 26-17 to Boise State Broncos.
Baylor are the favorites at -235. But BYU are the ranked side (19th) and boast genuine matchwinners in the molds of QB Jaren Hall, who threw for +300-yards in the defeat to Boise State, and WR Gunner Romney. With both teams at 5-1 on the year, this game looks set to be a close one.
Last week against the Broncos, the Cougars just made a hash of it on crucial downs; gave away too many penalties, and surrendered possession of the football over too many times. Don’t expect them to be so generous vs a Baylor team that’s had a far easier run of NCAA games thus far though.
The +6.5 spread seems high to us.

NCAA Picks: 3. Auburn Tigers at Arkansas Razorbacks – Tigers to beat the spread.
Besides that rough 34-10 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs last week, Auburn has played some good football through seven weeks of the season. Coach Bryan Harsin’s team was unfortunate to lose out in a close one vs Penn State Nittany Lions, 20-28, and ran out deserved winners vs LSU and Georgia State.
It may seem a bit far-fetched to suggest any positives should be taken from a 34-10 loss, but Auburn did far better vs Georgia than Arkansas did. The Razorbacks got shut out in the corresponding fixture; they gave up and lost 37-0. At least Auburn showed a bit of fight.
Arkansas is ranked 17th in the country and might well be the clear favorite for this encounter. But don’t be surprised to see the likes of Auburn QB Bo Nix and WR Shedrick Jackson give the Razorbacks defense plenty to think about in the secondary.
