Mattia Destro will complete his loan move to AC Milan, it has been confirmed today. The Italian striker has been on the radar of several top clubs in the past year or so, including Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea. But he chosen to stay in him homeland and make the move to the 7-time European Champions.
Destro was due to give a final statement regarding his decision today and took to his Facebook page to confirm the move.
The loan deal, for which AC Milan have to pay €700,000 will be followed by an option to buy the player at €12 million, according to reliable Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri.
Milan sealed Destro’s loan getting fantastic conditions: 700k€ + 12m€ for option to buy. Roma for once did a bad deal

Destro is regarded a real talent in Italy and, at just 23, already has 8 caps for the national side to his name. In November, he responded to interest from English clubs by saying that he was flattered that a club like Arsenal was looking to sign him. It was expected that the Gunners would re-ignite their interest in January, but no move was made. With Yaya Sanogo and Joel Campbell both sent out on loan, Arsene Wenger might find himself a striker short if a couple of injuries were to occur.
AC Milan have struggled to find a regular goalscorer this season and are currently 11th in the Serie A table. They signed Fernando Torres on loan from Chelsea last summer, but after the Spaniard failed to fire, was loaned out to Atletico Madrid earlier this month. The Rossoneri though, have already added three forwards to their squad in January. Suso has joined from Liverpool on a permanent deal, while Alessandro Cerci has been loaned in from Atletico.
