According to reports in Football Italia, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to meet the agent of AC milan striker Mario Balotelli in Brazil. The Gunners are in the market for a striker in the coming transfer window and there has been interest for the former Manchester City striker over the past few weeks from the London club.
It is believed tha Wenger will meet the player’s agent Mino Raiola as both men are currently in Brazil to watch the proceedings of the World Cup. Earlier Raiola had claimed that Arsenal is a fantastic side and they are one of the very few clubs who can afford to acquire the services of his client.
AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has not ruled out selling the 23 year old and would relish the chance to snap up Joel Campbell as part of the deal for his prized asset. Italian side Napoli are also interested in Balotelli after reports earlier this week claimed that Barcelona are keen on Argentine Gonzalo Higuain in the summer.
Can Arsenal finally land a striker to take the pressure off Olivier Giroud or will the Gunners be dealt yet another hammer blow right at the end? Let us know in comments below.
