Celtic forward Moussa Dembele has attracted a lot of interest over the last 12 months with his explosive performances for the Scottish champions.
The 21-year-old Frenchman has been linked with a move away from Glasgow this summer and it appears that Marseille are interested in signing him.
According to Express, the French outfit have already begun regarding about a potential transfer. Marseille value the player at £20m but Celtic are holding out for more. The representatives of the French club were in Glasgow last weekend for their friendly against Rangers and they have used the opportunity to initiate talks regarding Dembele.
As per the report, Everton and AC Milan are keeping tabs on the forward as well.
Dembele started his career in France with PSG and he could be open to a return to France this summer. Although he is not forcing a move, playing for Marseille will improve his international chances.
The young Frenchman scored 32 goals in 49 outings last season and is rated as one of the best young players in the world right now.
Marseille finished fifth in Ligue 1 last season and they will be able to offer him regular football at a higher level than Celtic. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can reach an agreement now.
Celtic are not under pressure to sell the player and therefore the Ligue 1 outfit will need to match their valuation if they want to sign Dembele this summer.
