Mario Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola has claimed that the striker won’t be leaving Liverpool in the summer transfer window. The Italian was expected to leave after a disappointing season ever since his £16m transfer from AC Milan last summer. Balotelli has scored just 3 goals in 21 appearances for the Reds and it is clear that he hasn’t been able to adapt in England.
We had reported earlier that Italian club Sampdoria would be willing to sign Balotelli as the club President Massimo Ferrero had opened doors to sign the 24 year old. Liverpool Echo have now reported that Raiola doesn’t expect Balotelli to switch loyalties in the summer.
He said, “No, no, he had talks with Liverpool he will definitely stay”
When asked if Balotelli and manager Brendan Rodgers had adapted” to each other this season, he continued, “I think that Mario did. I can not talk about Brendan, that is a question for him.”
“But I speak with people from the club, and they are happy with Mario as a professional. Obviously he may have to improve the performances, but I am confident that will happen next year.”
