Manchester United could be set to confirm Victor Valdes are their first signing of the January transfer window. The former Barcelona goalkeeper who is currently a free agent has been training with the Red Devils over the past few months and it noe appears that the Spaniard will be given a contract by the Red Devils.
Spanish Media outlet MARCA have published a story saying that Valdes’ agent Gines Carvajal has recently traveled to England to ‘finish the details’ for his client.
The 32 year old had earlier suffered a horrific injury, tearing his anterior cruciate ligament last season thus missing out on the World Cup in Brazil in the summer. It is also suggested that United have made a ‘firm offer’ to sign Valdes now that he has recuperated from his injury.

Valdes is set to be the second choice behind David De Gea, the latter who has been in terrific form this season. Valdes’ signing would however signal the end of Anders Lindegaard’s career at Manchester United. The 30 year old Dane could head towards the exit at Old Trafford in January.
