Manchester United are hoping to finalise the loan move of James Wilson during the January transfer window.
The Manchester United striker has had limited opportunities at Old Trafford so far and is keen to go out on loan in search of regular football.
Wilson came up through the ranks at Old Trafford and is regarded as one of their finest academy prospects in the recent years. According to Daily Mail, Manchester United are in talks with Celtic over a loan move in January.
Celtic manager, Ronny Deila is looking for a striker when the window re-opens and after failing to land Carlton Cole, he is prepared to switch his attention towards the young Manchester United striker.
The arrival of Memphis and Anthony Martial has made it difficult for Wilson to get a game in the first team and Van Gaal is keen to loan him out so that the young striker can continue his development and fulfill his enormous potential.
New arrival, Anthony Martial has taken the Premier League by storm and is likely to lead the line for Manchester United this season. Furthermore, the out of form striker Wayne Rooney is also ahead of Wilson in the pecking order.
What is most surprising is midfielder Marouane Fellaini is also picked ahead of Wilson even though he is not a striker.
In such circumstances it is best for Wilson to go out on loan and play regular football. If he can impress on loan it might open up a window of opportunity for him at Old Trafford or somewhere else.
