Well, well, well! This is not exactly the kind of news Manchester United fans have been waiting for. Reports from English broadsheet Guardian claim that Louis Van Gaal has asked striker Danny Welbeck to leave the Red Devils. The recent developments come as a major surprise as Van Gaal’s 3-5-2 system would need at least four players in the squad.
Moreover, it was believed that the Englishman was ahead of Javier Hernandez in the pecking order. But it is believed that the move is designed to promote 18 year old teenager to the first team squad. Unitd fans would very well remember that Wilson scored a brace in United’s 3-1 win over Hull City at Old Trafford last season.
Hull City is believed to be Welbeck’s next destination but given that the 23 year old would cost £20m, Steve Bruce’s side might have have to opt out of the deal to bring the player at the KC Stadium.
So what do you think? Where will be Welbeck shipped out? Is this the right decision from Louis Van Gaal?
