Manchester United are set to sign Ángel Di María from Real Madrid for a British transfer record €80 million (£63.9m).
Reliable Spanish journalist Guillem Balagué confirmed the news moments ago via his Twitter account, saying Di María “will be at all effects a Manchester United player very very soon”:

Manchester United had strongly been linked with signing Ángel Di María over the past week and earlier this morning SoccerLens confirmed that the Argentine international would be a United player in the new few hours.
Balagué has all-but confirmed Di María will move to Manchester United this summer, but the transfer fee has increased significantly over the past 24 hours.
It will be interesting to see what formation the Dutch manager employs for their third game of the season, at Burnley on Saturday 30 August.
The signing of Marcos Rojo along with Di María provided it goes through as expected, suggests van Gaal will not be playing his 3-4-1-2 formation any longer despite using throughout pre-season.
Rojo allows van Gaal to play four at the back whilst Di María offers width on the left. One would expect either the 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation to be used by United at Turf Moor in less than a week’s time.
Do you think Ángel Di María will be a success under Louis van Gaal at Manchester United? And do you think he is worth the reported £63.9 million transfer fee?
