Manchester United’s record signing, Angel di Maria, who earns a reported wage of £280,000-a-week, could be heading towards exit, according to reports.
The Mirror claim that Di Maria’s family has yet to settle in Manchester, following his record breaking move from Real Madrid last summer. Should he prefers a move, United could offload the under-performing Argentine star, with PSG keen to sign Di Maria.
United paid a record breaking fee of around £60m for the signing of Di Maria, and they are likely to have to take a hit of around £10m on the 27-year-old.
Di Maria has largely struggled on the field, but it’s the problem off the field (his family failing to settle properly) leading to suggestion that the player will seek a transfer this summer.
PSG tried to sign Di Maria last summer and the French champions could revive their interest again with a summer bid.
Manchester United are likely to spend heavily this summer but as it stands Di Maria’s future is unsettled at the moment.
