More Manchester City transfer news as German outlet, BILD claim that Manchester City are putting together an €180m package to sign Wolfsburg and former Chelsea midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne.
De Bruyne had an exceptional season with Wolfsburg last year and was the best player in Bundesliga. The former Chelsea man is now linked with a move back to the Premier League with Manchester City.
Bild claim that Manchester City are ready to offer €80m transfer fee and €100m wages over the next 5 years (€20m per season). City’s package will make him one of the best paid players at the club and the league.
Manuel Pellegrini wants more creativity around Sergio Aguero next season and hence the signing of Raheem Sterling and the interest in Kevin De Bruyne.
Speaking to Bild, Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking said that the club are not sure what will happen with the Belgian.
“We’ll have to see what’s happening between the clubs. I can’t say more”, he said.
Further, the German paper claimed that De Bruyne left Wolfsburg training with a back injury.
It remains to be seen how much of the injury story is true, but Hecking’s comments will certainly be encouraging to Manchester City fans, who are excited about the prospect of De Bruyne playing with Aguero and Sterling next season.
