In the latest Manchester City news update, striker Sergio Aguero is set to return against Everton in the coming weeks.
The Manchester City forward has been out of action for about a month now and has been sorely missed, especially considering his explosive start to the season. Sergio Aguero started the season in sensational form scoring 19 goals in 20 games this season.
According to recent reports, Aguero has been responding well to treatment and is set to be back in full training by the end of this week.
The player confirmed via Twitter that he has already started field work and is progressing slowly.
“I wanted you to know I’ve already started field work. Slowly but surely I’ll be back at the right moment. Thanks for the wishes!”, he said.
Wilfried Bony set to sign this week
According to the Telegraph, City are looking to push through a move for Swansea’s Wilfried Bony this week. The Champions have been short on bodies upfront, following injuries to Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic.
City are believed to have made enquirers for the Swansea forward, who has scored 9 goals so far this season, and are willing to offer the 26-year-old a £100,000-a-week deal if a fee can be agreed.
The Ivorian signed a new deal at Swansea in November as the club decided to take out his £19m release clause. Speculations in the media state that Swansea are looking for a fee in the region of £30m.
The Ivorian has also been linked with a move to Chelsea, but according to recent reports, City are leading the chase and should land him by the end of this week.
