Juventus have offered a new contract to star midfielder Paul Pogba to ward off interest from Manchester United, the Frenchman’s agent has claimed.

The Red Devils are thought to be firm favorites to re-sign the 23-year-old this summer after Real Madrid reportedly ended their pursuit to acquire the dynamic midfielder’s services.

Pogba’s contract with Juventus runs until 2019 but the Italian champions are keen to tie him down beyond his current contract and his agent Mino Raiola said that Pogba is happy to stay at the Turin club.

“There is a lot of talk about Paul’s future, but maybe he will not leave Juventus,” Mino Raiola said. “He is in no rush to leave, and Juventus do not want him to go. They want him to renew his contract.

“Paul is not desperate to move. We are very happy at Juventus and they are a club that want to keep their star players. Juventus have treated Paul exceptionally well. They are a fantastic club and they believe in him.”

Juventus have reportedly tabled £130,000-a-week deal in their effort to keep the former Man Utd starlet in Italy but the Premier League giants are poised to make severe attempts to bring Pogba back to Old Trafford after Jose Mourinho claimed in his first press conference that the club is keen to materialize his ‘fourth priority signing’, said to be the French midfielder.

Pogba, who has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Red Devils and will cost a world record transfer fee for potential suitors, will be desperate to resolve his future soon after jetting off on holiday in the wake of France’s defeat against Portugal in the final of Euro 16.
