Manchester City are set to complete an astonishing €50m signing of the Manchester United target, Nicolas Otamendi, from Valencia.
United have been linked with a big money move for Otamendi, but it seems that fierce rivals City are now poised to complete the deal this week.
After a defeat in their Sergio Ramos pursuit, United were keen to sign Otamendi from Valencia. However, the Old Trafford outfit were unwilling to pay his €50m buyout.
It appears that City are prepared to meet Valencia’s demands and Otamendi will complete his move soon.
According to rumours, super agent Jorge Mendes is in town with the Argentine.

Manchester City completed a 3-0 demolition of the Premier League champions Chelsea this Sunday and are looking formidable with the potential addition of Otamendi.
With the relaxation of FFP rules, City have not held back this summer. After a 49 million pound move for Raheem Sterling, City are now close to wrapping up another mega money signing.
The Premier League giants are also interested in signing Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne and will break the bank to land the former Chelsea man.
