Liverpool are slowly getting back to their old best. After getting a hard earned victory over Burnley in the Boxing Day, Liverpool produced a scintillating performance last weekend at Anfield against Swansea, where they steam-rolled their opponents 4-1, producing some magical moments during the game.
In the transfer front, well, we still don’t know where Liverpool are likely to invest, but going by the latest rumours, it seems like Brendan Rodgers would be looking to bolster his attacking depth. Already talks of bringing back Divock Origi have resurfaced in the media and in recent weeks, several strikers have been linked with a move to Anfield that suggest Rodgers is desperate to fill up the goal scoring void left by Luis Suarez.
One of those strikers with whom Liverpool are strongly linked is Rayan Souici, the highly rated French striker, who plays for Saint-Etienne. Reports in France suggest that Liverpool are likely to make a move for the 16-year-old French youngster, and the Reds are planning to lodge a formal bid to secure his services.
According to Bill Cooper of The Mirror, Liverpool are also keeping a close interest in Villarreal striker Luciano Vietto.
Cooper claims in his article that Rodgers is keen to land the Argentine striker, who is often dubbed as the new Sergio Aguero.
Vietto signed a five-year deal when he joined Villarreal from Argentine team Racing Club in a £4.85m switch last August, but Liverpool are still hoping to land him with a £12m offer.
