According to reports from the Guardian, Liverpool are plotting a £19.5m move for Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko. The Ukrainian has been in fantastic form this season and has long been linked with a move to the Premier League.
The 25 year old Ukraine’s player of the year was in stunning form last week as he helped his club overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg to beat Everton by 5-2 in Russia to qualify for the quarter finals of the UEFA Europa League. Liverpool Echo have also reported that the Reda are tragetting the player who was linked with Chelsea last summer.
The Daily Star had also quoted Everton mnager Roberto Martinez who said that the youngster would be a big hit in England. He said: “He would be a good signing for the Premier League.”
“Any player who has got good ability in one-to-one situations and brings a goal-scoring threat can find a big role. Our league is very physical, very demanding. Yarmolenko controls the moment of the game really well. He’s got 10, 15 goals a season. He has good experience and is a good age.”
However Liverpool’s recent links with the player only come after media reports claims that Manchester City are planning to snatch both Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling, the duo who are yest to sign impending contracts with the Anfield side.
