Leeds United transfer news: Marcelo Bielsa’s side want to sign MLS star Valentin Castellanos

Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Valentin Castellanos who is currently on the books of New York City FC.

The 23-year-old started his career by joining the youth academy of Club Universidad de Chile where he earned his senior debut in 2017.

Marcelo Bielsa’ side are in need of attacking reinforcements and they believe the Argentine to be a good fit to their needs.

However, they face competition for the signature of the 23-year-old as River Plate are also said to be keen on him.

Leeds have reportedly been in contact with the player’s agent over a possible move to West Yorkshire. It is said that they are willing to part with $14 million to sign him in the summer.
