Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Valentin Castellanos who is currently on the books of New York City FC.

He then moved to Uruguayan side Torque before joining the MLS outfit in 2018, initially on loan which was later made permanent.
Since his arrival at the Pigeons, he has clocked up 110 appearances across all competitions scoring 44 goals and creating 18 assists in the process.
The Argentine footballer enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign, scoring 23 goals and creating eight assists in 36 matches for his side.
His amazing performances in America have caught the attention of some big clubs.

The Whites are without Patrick Bamford at the moment as he is currently recovering from a hamstring injury.
Marcelo Bielsa’ side are in need of attacking reinforcements and they believe the Argentine to be a good fit to their needs.
However, they face competition for the signature of the 23-year-old as River Plate are also said to be keen on him.
Leeds have reportedly been in contact with the player’s agent over a possible move to West Yorkshire. It is said that they are willing to part with $14 million to sign him in the summer.
