Leeds United have been linked with a move for Nahitan Nandez for weeks now, and it appears that Marcelo Bielsa is determined to sign the Argentine midfielder.
The 25-year-old has a release clause of around €36 million, and Bielsa is prepared to spend big on the player, according to Sport Witness.
Nandez is an excellent presser, and his defensive abilities would make him an ideal fit for Bielsa’ system.
He has been a key player for Cagliari this past season and could be tempted to move to the Premier League if Leeds make a concrete offer.
A move to Elland Road would be a step up in his career, and Bielsa could take his game to a whole new level.
The Leeds boss is well respected throughout the game, and Nandez could be tempted to work with him next season.
The Whites had an impressive season in the Premier League last year and will need to add more quality to their squad to progress next season.
Bringing in a quality midfielder to support Kalvin Phillips should be a priority for the Premier League side, and Nandez’s signing would make perfect sense.
