Anderson Wants to Move to Inter Milan
Manchester United midfielder Anderson has revealed that he dreams of moving to Inter Milan and playing for Jose Mourinho.
Analysis: First it was Real Madrid, and now it looks like Inter Milan is developing into Sir Alex Ferguson’s nemesis. Anderson hasn’t gotten the kind of playing time at Old Trafford that he would like to, and he could be tired of waiting. Then again, it’s not like he would be guaranteed a starting spot for Inter Milan.
Owen to Leave Newcastle — More to Follow?
Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear has conceded that Michael Owen will not sign a new contract with Newcastle and will be listening to offers in January. Others that could follow him out the door are Nicky Butt, Shola Ameobi, Steve Harper and Mark Viduka, all of whom are in the last year of their respective contracts.
Analysis: Well, looks like the worst kept secret is out of the bag. Michael Owen wants to leave Newcastle. It will be interesting to see who signs him. Everton are probably the favorites, but I wouldn’t rule out Liverpool, despite what Rafa Benitez says. They’ll be without Torres until the New Year, and Keane has fallen so far out of favor that there’s talk about selling him back to Tottenham.
Real Madrid Won’t Move for Benzema
Karim Benzema may yet get his lucrative move to a big-time club, but it won’t be Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have ruled out a January move for the French hitman.
Analysis: There isn’t much need for him at Real Madrid now that they’ve signed Huntelaar. Manchester United and Barcelona have also shown interest in the Lyon star.
Kaka Unsettled at Milan?
In what will surely be music to Manchester City’s ears, Brazilian maestro Kaka has expressed his displeasure over his role with the team ever since Ronaldinho came aboard.
Analysis: Is it a power play to reassert himself at Milan? Or is it an overture to Manchester City? We shall see in due time.
AC Milan Not Interested In Ronaldo
And, finally, we have some news about Ronaldo — the Brazilian striker who likes his women to be able to sing baritone. AC Milan have ruled out a possible return to the San Siro for the former two-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Analysis: Sure, they took Shevchenko back, but I guess there are limits to Milan’s generosity. Maybe he should link up with Rivaldo in Uzbekistan.
