In an interview with Canal Football Club on Sunday, Chelsea star Eden Hazard revealed insight into his professional relationship with manager José Mourinho.
Chelsea were 2-1 winners at Anfield on Saturday to maintain their four point lead over Southampton at the top of the Premier League and extend their lead over defending champions Manchester City, to eight points.
In his interview, Hazard revealed that he helps Mourinho with scouting of the French Ligue 1:
“Does Mourinho ask me for advice on some small players in Ligue 1? It happens. It happens, yes.”
Eden Hazard began his professional career in the French top flight with Lille where he played four full seasons before joining Chelsea in 2012.
As about Chelsea’s January signing from French Ligue 1 side Saint-Étienne, Hazard discussed Kurt Zouma:
“Zouma? He does not play much, but there are still two central defenders not bad at his job! He’s young, he learned every day in training, he has already played Champions League matches.”
Kurt Zouma currently faces competition with the established centre-back partnership of John Terry and Gary Cahill but the young defender has had a few opportunities in the first team this season when Mourinho has rotated his squad.
