Although the latest offer is still some way off Everton’s 30 million valuation, it seems likely that a deal might happen.
Whether the 26 million pound offer excludes add ons remains to be seen as the details of the bid are not public yet. But if Chelsea can add a few performance based add ons to their second offer, it is more than likely that Everton will cash in on their prized asset.
Stones, one of the best young centre backs in the world is likely to replaced by Manchester United defender Johnny Evans, who agreed a 7 million pound move to Merseyside yesterday.
While 30 million pounds may seem an awful lot of money for Stones, his talent and potential points towards a superb investment with outstanding return in a few years time.
