According to reports from Spanish media outlet MARCA, Javier Hernandez is set to return to Manchester United in the summer after his season long loan from Real Madrid. The report claims that the Los Blancos have decided not to make use of the purchase option in the striker’s loan deal thus he will return to Old Trafford, where he is most likely to be sold in the summer.
Hernandez had earlier been told that he doesn’t feature in Louis Van Gaal’s plans and the Mirror reports that Tottenham are interested in the 26 year old while MLS side Orlando City also want to player. Hernandez still has a year left on his deal at United and is wanted by Orlando to team up with Brazilian star Kaka. But the player has decided against a move to the United States.
His loan spell at Madrid was nothing short of disappointing making just 23 La Liga appearances, starting on just seven occasions and hitting the back of the net just 7 goals. The report from Mirror also states that West Ham United, Everton and Spanish outfit Valencia have all been linked with a summer move for the player. But it will be interesting to see if either of the sides are willing to meet United’s evaluation of the Mexican striker.
