EVERTON are desperate to turn their season around and an impressive performance against Brentford in the FA Cup in front of a packed Goodison Park could do just that.
With new manager Frank Lampard at the helm it feels like a new chapter is about to begin at a club that has been in the doldrums this term.
The travelling Brentford faithful will hope their side can delay the Everton rebuild and keep their cup run alive in a match that looks to be a very even contest on paper.

Everton vs Brentford preview
Brentford got the better of Everton when the teams met in West London earlier season with a 1-0 win in which an Ivan Toney penalty proved the difference. The newly promoted side have stuttered since the turn of the year, however, and have lost their last four matches.
Everton’s form has barely been any better, resulting in Rafa Benitez being shown the door and replaced with Chelsea legend Lampard. Toffees fans are hopeful of the new manager bounce effect and the bookmakers have been swayed enough to make the home side just short of odds-on favourites.
Lampard will bemoan the fact that new signings Dele Alli and loan Donny van de Beek are unavailable. But fortunately for Everton Eriksen won’t be involved either which is a blessing as he has score five times against them for Tottenham. As these two sides have struggled defensively I’d expect both to score and Everton to edge a close game.
