Everton have been linked with a move for Netherlands international Denzel Dumfries over the past few weeks.

The Premier League club are now in talks with his agent Mino Raiola regarding a summer move.

The 25-year-old did well in the European Championships and could prove to be the ideal long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman.

The right-back position needs strengthening this summer, and the Toffees are keen to convince PSV Eindhoven to sell Dumfries to them.

They are not the only club looking to sign him, with Inter Milan also in talks with Raiola (via Sport Witness).

The Toffees must add quality and depth to their defensive options if they want to push for European qualification next season.

Everton conceded 48 goals last term, and that is not good enough for a team with aspirations of playing in Europe.

The prospect of playing under Rafa Benitez may appeal to Dumfries, with the new Everton manager renowned for getting the best out of his defenders.

However, Inter Milan are likely to be a more attractive proposition for the defender as they can offer him Champions League football next season.
