Croatian midfielder Nikola Vlasic has blamed the continuous chopping and changing at Everton for his lack of form there.
Vlasic is currently on loan at CSKA Moscow and he seems to have found his rhythm finally.
When he arrived at Everton Ronald Koeman was managing the Toffees. The Dutchman ended up getting sacked. Vlasic struggled to adapt to Allardyce’s style of football and eventually he was sent out on loan.
He said to Fox Sports Radio earlier this week: “There were a lot of changes at Everton and I didn’t find my place there. It’s always hard there because if you don’t take your chance first time, then it’s hard to get another. Here (at CSKA), I have a chance every time. Even if I play badly in one game, I know I will have another chance. It’s the best thing that could have happened for me, this trust that I have at CSKA from the coach, the staff, the players, everybody. This is the main thing for a player to play in a good way.”
It will be interesting to see if he wants to come back to Everton next season. Marco Silva’s proactive style of management might benefit the attacking midfielder.
Vlasic is highly rated around Europe and he could be a quality addition to Silva’s side if he manages to adapt to English football.
Everton fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the midfielder and his comments about his time at the club.
Here are some of the fan reactions from earlier.
I like him. Very raw, bear in mind he was there under Big Sam mostly. He hasn’t been given a chance on the pitch. Of course I’m skeptical as to whether he’s the answer but the lads got ability, just needs channeling.

Totally agree, his best position is 10, Siggi needs gd comp, he can play wide R as well! Theo is an expensive luxury, sell for £14m if we can!

Hope to see him back in the squad next season but very much doubt it. Got a lot to offer

Proper good player mate, I can guarantee he gets you 12 goals if he plays the 38 games, Everton have never had a goal scoring team, even when we’ve been good it’s a top CF and that’s it, we need a front 3, he’s not assist winger, he’s a goal scoring winger, get him in there

Bring him back for next season. Otherwise, we will regret letting him go
