Borussia Dortmund are keen to bring back Shinji Kagawa from Manchester United in the summer and have made contact with the Old Trafford club over his availability.
The 25-year-old was a hero at Dortmund and helped the club winning back to back Bundesliga titles, where he played a major role.
After two memorable years at the club, Kagawa was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012 and since then the diminutive Japanese has struggled to make any significant impression. Under David Moyes, he was reduced to bit part roles while most of time, he was played out of his natural position.
Kagawa divides opinion among the Manchester United fans. While there are some who believes, he is not worth the hype and blames him for failing to adjust to the system while other section of supporters opine that he hasn’t been used properly by the club.
German newspaper Bild claims that Dortmund have made contacts with Manchester United on a regular basis. Kagawa is not happy with life in England but he doesn’t want to return as a flop and hopes to revive his career under the would-be-new boss at Manchester United. Bild says, Dortmund have only 25% chance of landing Kagawa in the summer.
