Manchester United have confirmed their long serving midfielder Darren Fletcher has completed his switch to West Bromwich Albion on the deadline day.
The Scottish international was allowed to join on a free transfer after he ended his 12 years at Old Trafford spell on Monday.

A statement on United’s official website read, ” Darren Fletcher has ended his long-standing association with Manchester United after joining West Bromwich Albion on a free transfer in a late deal on transfer deadline day.”
The 31-year-old was linked with a move to West Ham United after Louis van Gaal confirmed last Friday during his pre-match press conference that Fletcher will join the Hammers. However, the deal did not take shape and the Dutchman confirmed the midfielder’s transfer to Upton Park had collapsed.
That gave an opportunity for Fletcher to join West Brom on a free transfer in the final hours of the winter transfer window.
