Chelsea are set to confirm the season long loan deal of Dutch youngster Marco van Ginkel to Italian giants AC Milan on a season log loan deal. Gianluca Di Marzio had published the story that the 21 year old arrived in Milan yesterday and stopped at the Da Giannino restaurant saying, “I’m happy to be here.”
Calcio Mercato have just reported that Ginkel will undergo a medical at 8:30 AM local time to complete his transfer move. The highly rated yougster was also reportedly targeted by Portuguese giants Benfica but the Rossoneri have now come out on top to sign the player.
Ginkel should be able to get enough first team football at Milan and its a wise decision from the player’s perspective given that he would have to warm the sidelines at Stamford Bridge thanks to the plethora of talent Jose Mourinho has at his disposal in the middle of the park.
Ginkel will receive €400,000 during his stint a further €200,000 from Chelsea if he makes less than 20 appearances for the San Siro outfit.
